Second generation Advocate, father, Advocate Arvind Chothani, practised in Industrial and Labour Court and as a Labour Consultant for nearly 40 years.
Joined the Chamber of Advocate Shreepad Murthy, initially as a student intern and thereafter as an Assistant Advocate from September 1992 onward up to September 1999. During that period was involved in drafting of documents primarily concerning the property transactions and litigation, both in High Court and City Civil Court. Simultaneously, completed LL.M. in Property Law and Commercial Law in the year 1995.
As an independent practitioner, having a vast experience in handing litigation/s – both on original and appellate side of High Court; City Civil Court and Arbitration. Well conversant with legal proceedings at all stages right from the stage of drafting of pleadings, hearing of interim application/s, till final hearing of matters, including conducting a trial, very crucial part in any legal proceeding. Have experience in litigation relating to property, enforcement of contractual obligations, partition suits, family disputes, recovery proceedings, legal proceedings involving statutory authorities and Municipal Corporation/s, matrimonial disputes as well as proceedings under the provisions of Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
